Getting dumped all over again.

Lately, I have been watching my inbox like a lovesick girl with a serious crush. You know what I am talking about, it's not about phone calls anymore, it's about "Has he/she emailed me today?" "Why no IM with cute little emoticons".  Well, I am not looking for love, but I am looking for a job. Where's the love gone?

Since Feb, I have been on the hunt for a new position. Every since my dearly beloved start-up, shut-down (well sort of, that's another story). Anyhow, here is the situation and maybe someone reading this can relate, I do get calls and I do get interviews, but then I get dumped like a high school girl. You know the relationship, the one where your boyfriend found someone more interesting but didn't have the guts to tell you. Ok, well maybe I have wounds from the past, but hey I am not new the job market, but what is new is the whole lack of communication. If I had a dollar for every random recruiter who has called me in the last four months saying "I have the perfect position for you" and then never hearing from them again, I wouldn't need to look for a job. 

Ok, so this brings me back to my point that job hunting is like that new relationship. You get all excited about the prospect of being with someone only to have your hope's dashed when they don't email. What's a girl to do but say "They weren't your type anyway!" I will keep you posted on the job situation.
